The situation: To raise money for his venture, the owner (Schultz) got rejected 217 times out of a possible 242.
The result: Those who took a chance on him enabled him to enter what is today a multi-million dollar industry that eventually allowed Schultz to buy Starbucks.
The lessons we learn from this: Business will always present its obstacles- it’s just how we perceive those obstacles that enables us to achieve success. Don’t let those obstacles get in the way.
